Such a pretty picture of a bird. How had he taken it? Was he some kind of bird as well as a pussy charmer? She picked up her phone and read the message again. This is my first time reading Eve Dangerfield, and granted, a lot of the laugh-out-loud humor came from the heroine being utterly baffled by the hero's immense sexual prowess, but I lol'ed truly an astonishing number of times. There are just not enough sexually-dominant heroines in M/F romances! (Please rec your faves if you have some, either HR or CR.) This is usually because he has something to prove to a reticent heroine, but my big thing with M/F romance are stories where authors write their heroes doing emotional labor in relationships - something that heterosexual women are normally tasked with/end up doing.

which leads to my next point: I love an earnest, devoted hero who does the work. I love "the hero has always loved the heroine" stories, but Dean's devotion to Ashley was truly at another level and it hugged me in all the right places.

The hero is a fucking goner for the heroine the second he meets her and sometimes you just need that kind of energy, you know? This is definitely both instalust AND instalove - which I don't normally enjoy - but the way Dean (MMC) is completely besotted with Ashley (FMC) immediately and thinks the very best of her from the beginning transcends how their initial relationship initially starts, which is as fuck buddies.

Please see below for some reasons why you should read this fantastic book if you haven't already:įirst, some basics: CR, M/F, set in Australia, heat level: hot. While " Open Hearts" is regularly recommended for those looking for himbo heroes, it's been three months since anyone's written anything about the book, which I think I should rectify.
